AmaniSalon was founded by stylist, Amani Carithers during the onset of her academic career at the University of Washington. She provides Natural hair care and protective styling services in the greater Seattle area and specializes in styling kinky, curly afro textures. Working in the salon gave her the flexibility to excel academically, upon her recent graduation from UW she began her own blog Sawari Mi, where she posts articles that focus on her activist and social justice work. Amani has a passion for people and building community, she is a writer, speaker and enjoys traveling for events across the county.
